Our company is called sattva vastra and we are based out of mumbai, india. We are well versed in producing knitted and woven garments for womens and mens wear. Our founder and director has been in the garment industry for 40 years, she has worked with several international brands across the world. Our woven products are generally crafted out of lenzing modal or ecological cotton created by artisanal weavers. We generally see what fabrics they are running or have in stock and purchase from that. This way we do not have to meet extremely large fabric minimums and solve the issue of stocking. The lenzing modal we use is available in several colors and textures, while the artisanal cotton is yarn-dyed using vegetable dyes. We are also able to embellish our merchandise using vintage techniques and community artisans for our embroideries and offer a large variety of handcrafted embroideries. We have the option of in-house manufacturing and also local units which are walking distance from our premises. We have two business models for our woven merchandise 1) upcycling of vintage clothing sarees which are custom made as per customers requirements. This is done entirely in house. 2) limited edition small runs for other sustainable brands when we say small runs, we can start from 30 pieces of a style, over two–three colours and covering two-three sizes. We can go up to any amount as required but that is the base quantity.
